For home influencers Jessica and Matthew, who live in a two-bedroom flat in North London, space is at a premium.
Together, they run the Instagram account @asmalltownhouse, where they document the transformation of their stylish - but compact - Victorian home to more than 22,000 followers.
Jessica and Matthew wanted to make their small kitchen appear as spacious and bright as possible. And, with the help of Splashback, they were able to create their desired look.
“We didn't want to go down a traditional tile route for our splashbacks. Instead we incorporated it within the kitchen design,” Jessica says.
“Something we thought long and hard about in the kitchen was how to create as much impact as possible in a small space.
“We knew that in small spaces you need to create height and draw the eye up to make it feel bigger, so we didn’t opt for the usual ‘go-to’ of tiles in our kitchen. Instead we wanted to use tongue and groove panelling on the walls.
“However, we were a little worried about the safety hazard of cooking next to wood - until Splashback reached out to us and kindly gifted a glass beauty which has allowed us to create a safe but sleek finish.”
We provided Jessica and Matthew with our Crystal Clear Splashback which they styled with gold caps, to complement their kitchen appliances. Customers can also choose from brushed brass, chrome, brushed chrome, copper, black, satin or bronze caps.
Jessica says the splashback arrived “perfectly” and the “extra packaging really protected the glass”.
Clear splashbacks are supplied with pre-drilled holes, a fixing pack, chrome caps and an instruction sheet for easy installation. So, to Jessica’s delight, she found the splashback was very easy to fit. (All other splashbacks arrive complete with our innovative self-adhesive backing.)
“I fitted it with my partner, although it could have easily been done by one person. The installation steps were very clear and really didn't take long to do.”
